MOVO is part of the Ivy Building for the Arts, a mixed-use building in Seward. It’s home to a wide network of working artists: healers, martial arts practitioners, designers, yoga instructors, writers, painters, sculptors, woodworkers, and other movement artists. Being here means participating in a living ecosystem of creative practice.
We share walls and energy with people who are focused, making a living, and tending their work. Out of respect for our neighbors, MOVO is a space for quiet or low-volume use. Loud rehearsals, amplified sound, or percussive forms (like tap or band practice) don’t fit easily here — but sometimes, with timing and care, they might. If you’re unsure, please reach out.
You might hear a distant class, a drill, or music from another studio — everyone’s making something here.
MOVO includes a shared fridge, a sink, and a small use-and-replace tea and coffee setup. Artists often store props, tools, or in-progress work between sessions to make returning easier. There’s room to build, write, and move — sometimes all at once. It’s flexible enough to prep and shoot photos, host a conversation circle, or run a movement workshop in the same day. We stay nimble and work directly with you to support what you need.
MOVO is shaped by the relationships we build — with our practices, each other, and the place we share.
